dad, gave envelope to Wayne with cash inside.
as for Penny and her friend i think they will have to stay in your room, as Brian's parents will be here i think at the same time and G&G said they could stay in their place.

Hi Chloë and Maggster!

Sounds fine as bed is large enough that even if they are not used to sleeping together they will almost be in separate beds!

Went for another swim yesterday afternoon. Pool really is most pleasant, perhaps my favourite here in Sydney. Not very busy during the times I usually go so I don't have to wait for showers, etc. Back home about 4:30pm to collect Nana as we were met Tim that evening. Had a wonderful dinner with him and his new "beau", Kevin, (Will send some snaps when I've a moment to download them.), from Taiwan. He is a graduate student at U of Sydney, (working on an MA in Accounting), not far from the pool at Victoria Park where I have been swimming all week. We arranged to meet at a pub about three blocks from the Town Hall subway station, in a complex called World House. When we arrived about 6:45pm, discovered that pub was closed! Cora Lee waited at the bottom of the escalators leading to where pub used to be while I went in seach of a pay phone to call Tim. Found a Vodophone outlet and since Tim works for this company decided to ask one of sales clerks if he could phone Tim for me. He did so but the number I had was wrong! Either I copied it down incorrectly of misheard what Tim related. At any rate, he tapped me on the shoulder just after we discovered that number was not in service so all was well.

Tim looks very well and after we rejoined Kevin and Cora Lee we made our way to a Thai restaurant called Thanon Khao San, just around the corner. The owner is related to Tim's immediate boss so that is how he came to know about it originally. Place is terrific with a friendly, inviting atmosphere and food was superb. It is BYOB so we brought along two bottles, a Semillon and a Shiraz, which Coriandre had picked up at Kemeny's, our favourite wine shop near Bondi Beach, that afternoon.

We enjoyed a truly wonderful meal, (King prawns in spicy red curry sauce; fried wonton filled with quail egg; crispy pork belly with Chinese broccoli; yellow curry with fish; fried pork mince with fresh vegetable sand crushed hot chilli), catching up with Tim and getting to know Kevin. Tim seems much more relaxed than we have ever found him. I suppose his steady employment, which his personality is certainly suited for, (He is a Business Development Manager for Vodophone, basically targeting large corporate accounts.), and his emotionally rewarding relationship with Kevin have both contributed to his happiness and stability.

They will give us a lift to the airport tomorrow and we will have lunch beforehand so we'll have another chance to see them before we return to Sydney, just prior to the Easter Weekend which we will spend in the Hunter Valley, along with Kathleen and Steve.

Have to go now as Her Majesty has insisted that I go swimming early. We are hosting Yael and Adina, their husbands, Dale and Ben, and all their children, five in total! I have to pick up a few things for dinner and be back to help with food preparation well before guests start to arrive around 5:00pm. Must re-pack as well, although have not really much to do on that score.

You didn't mention anything about Mom. Please try to pop by to give her supper as often as you can manage, check her nails and put cream on her arms and face. She might need a "shave' from time to time as well. Thanks for giving envelope to Sarge. Am expecting him to call from airport, shortly, just to say hello and goodbye!

What was the commotion you alluded to on Facebook?

Much warm, warm love, Dad!

Mark,

If you can ride this morning, I will be ready to ride about 9:15 – 9:30 from about Kingsway and Victoria. I am dropping my car there.
Call if you can join me. Weather will be mixed but looks okay now.

Ray is bucking a cold so I think he is out. I don’t know about the other riders. G

Hi George,

I'm stuck at work today so no can do, keep me posted though as I would like to get out soon.

Thanks, Al

Hi Peleton!

Be pleased that you are not in Sydney! Gorgeous day yesterday but pelted down last night. Started to sprinkle just after we finished a wonderful bbq in back garden last evening with our host, Ania, and her two daughters and their families, five grandchildren in total, all but youngest, Elvis, two months, yelling and racing around yard and house. Great time with plenty of hootch and lamb sausages, spuds on skewers, green bean/cherry tomatoes and feta cheese for the sustainable Vegan crowd and Ben's, (One of son-in-laws) nougat, (He is a chef with his own small business making and selling this product.), and Edradour Maltage for dessert.

Off to Melbourne today, (more monsoon rain during night but has tapered off now), at 3:00pm. Friend Tim, (We met in Raratonga in 1992), will drive us to airport after we have a quick lunch en route.

Miss everyone's chatter and scathingly critical remarks, and riding off course. Nonetheless, have managed to swim everyday since arriving and hope to hit pool once in Melbourne. Sarge will be at Grand Prix and The Sisterhood shopping as soon as they land!

On another matter, I had sent a number of messages to you people, via my iPad so that I could attach snaps, but discovered that they were never sent! Something to do with outgoing mail server. Cora Lee had used my iPad for her email when we first bought it and latterly I was sending from my UBC account. Think I have figured things out so will resend, knowing how desperately everyone is to know, to the .33K, how much lane distance I have I logged and what I had for breakfast last week!

Trust you get over your cold quickly, Robo Ray. Cheers, Patrizzio!

i've just used your names as "previous professional" references/family friends/ and "people i've houseat for for 15 years.

Hi Straight to the Point, Stefano!
We pick up our car on Tuesday morning and plan to drive to Old Oak, arriving some time in early afternoon, I suspect. Let me know if this works or where the key is hidden!

Fondestos and Cheers, Patrizzio!

Good to hear that you will be coming our way soon.
On Tuesday, we will leave a back door key in the mailbox so that you can make yourselves at home when you get here – spare bedrooms will be ready and nb new hot tub on our deck... Steve will be home around 530 and Kath around 630. We will have something organised to barbecue for dinner.
Our movements for the rest of the week: Kath will be at home on Wed, although with commitments until mid afternoon; in Melb at work Thu am to Fri eve, and then home all weekend. Steve may be able to take Wed or Thu off work, but will be away from Thu eve until Sat eve in Sydney.
Not sure how long you have set aside for central Victorian tourism, but we’ll make the best of what time there is – and hope the weather cooperates.
Cheers from the always cordial Kath and the usual critical remarks from Steve
Spent yesterday at the Practise session and Michele just arrived after 24 hours flying including a stop in Shanghi. Headed back to the track for qualifying today. Sitting on turn three. Will be exciting. Sunny and 25 degrees.
